The Fuel For Your Increase

The first quarter of 2019 has been very productive. We’ve been called to run with momentum this year. Not just me personally, but I believe every Christian is called to do the same. If you’re a child of God, you need to have the results of a child of God!

“Yes, just as you can identify a tree by its fruit, so you can identify people by their actions.” Matthew 7:20 NLT

It’s time to use our knowledge of the things of God to go deeper this year. The manifestations of the Spirit in our lives will only be produced by the revelation we have. We can’t survive on just a Sunday-morning message. We need to pray, read and receive every day. God has empowered us to do great things on the earth and in His Kingdom.

Did you know the only reason that God’s people are destroyed is because they lack knowledge of His Word? (See Hosea 4:6.) It’s the mighty truth of God’s Word that sets us free (John 8:32). The devil has nothing to do with your victory. Jesus stripped his power. More favor (grace) and peace are given to you based on your knowledge of God—Who is the Word!

“May God give you more and more grace and peace as you grow in your knowledge of God and Jesus our Lord.” 2 Peter 1:2 NLT

This verse shows us that He empowered you with the grace to do what He has called you to do. What He has called you to do is significant. Whether it’s being an entrepreneur, a stay-at-home mom, a teacher, or whatever job you may have, God has planned for you to fulfill an important purpose during your lifetime.

Martin Luther King Jr. said, “If a man is called to be a street sweeper, he should sweep streets even as a Michelangelo painted, or Beethoven composed music or Shakespeare wrote poetry. He should sweep streets so well that all the hosts of heaven and earth will pause to say; ‘Here lived a great street sweeper who did his job well.’”

Each new day is a valuable opportunity from God to do more of the work he has uniquely called you to do in His kingdom. It’s time we take it, run and operate in the power and increase He wants us to operate in. If we continue reading this passage in 2 Peter chapter 1, it proves we have no excuses:

“For His divine power has bestowed on us [absolutely] everything necessary for [a dynamic spiritual] life and godliness, through true and personal knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and excellence. For by these He has bestowed on us His precious and magnificent promises [of inexpressible value], so that by them you may escape from the immoral freedom that is in the world because of disreputable desire, and become sharers of the divine nature.” 2 Peter 1:3-4 AMP

He has given us a promise to share in His divine nature. What does that mean? We don’t have to obey the sin nature anymore. We love what He loves and hate what He hates. We have the Holy Spirit living in us to give us power, become conquerors, and be productive in the kingdom. We have to learn to be about our Father’s business.

You might be thinking, I’m not exactly sure of my calling in life. We are all called to be productive Christians! What are you producing? It’s important to stop and ask that question. We can get caught up in this busy life and get sidetracked on things that don’t carry any eternal weight.

Never confess “this is just a down season” or “I’m waiting on my harvest season.” The Bible declares in Psalm 1:3 that we are supposed to bear fruit in EVERY season. Every season will be productive. Are we winning souls? Is our giving increasing? Is our faith skipping levels? Are we using that power to see people healed and transformed? Are we using the mind of Christ and asking the Holy Spirit in our daily decisions? As we stay productive for the kingdom it will transfer over into our personal lives.

As you continue to take in the mighty Word of God, it becomes your performance fuel for increase. You’ll gain new revelation which is the vehicle that takes you higher. The more you know, the higher you go. Make a decision to increase your knowledge of the Word and pray that God will give you a spirit of wisdom and revelation and watch where He will take you.

Love you! —Carolyn
